BSL Certificate Courses Starting in September 2019
The Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) are running Level 1 and Level 2 British Sign Language courses, starting in September 2019. The courses will be held at Woodlands Day Care Centre, Recreation Road, Colchester, CO1 2HU (free parking is available). The learner will gain a nationally recognised qualification Level 1/Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language. Level 1 course can be taken without any previous BSL experience at any level. Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language will develop communication in BSL about real life, routine and daily experiences.
The group will consist of a small number of learners and the course will be delivered by a qualified teacher who is a native BSL user and a registered/qualified tutor.
The courses will be delivered on a weekly basis:
Level 1 (every Wednesday, 2 hours – term time only, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm) starting on September 11th 2019 until June/July 2020.
Level 2 (every Thursday– term time only, 10.30 am – 1.00 pm) starting on September 12th 2019 until July 2020.
The course cost is £380 (Level 1) and £420 (Level 2) inclusive of all resources and tutoring, registration and exam fees made to Signature. Duration: 64 hours (Level1) and 90 hours (Level2) of study and assessment during term time only. 3 assessments:

203 Conversational skills
